Dog Fetches PURRfect Place

Of the approximately 1.4 million dog adoptions every year, a few dogs hit the jackpot. Many go to great homes and some are not so lucky. This is a story about the former; a story of rescue to riches. 

Wrigley was born June 5, 2015, to an Australian Shephard mother and a Labradoodle father in Greensboro with three other siblings and four half-siblings of the same age. They were all rescued at 4 weeks old by a local animal rescue shelter. At 8 weeks, they were being adopted and Wrigley found his home in Charlotte. 

After one year on this earth, Wrigley wanted more out of life than a loving home and long walks on the greenway. He was, after all, seven years old in his mind. His human father, Cole Miller said, “Wrigley has never met a human or animal he didn’t like, which inspired the slogan Every Pet is PURRfect.” It is in that personality, that Wrigley found his purpose and leveraged a combination of good looks, sweetness, and enthusiasm to convince Cole to start a Dog Boarding, Daycare, and Grooming facility. The picture-perfect dream became a reality and it was named PURRfect Paws. 

You can now see Wrigley living his passion by greeting every canine visitor to PURRfect Paws at 18920 Statesville Road in Cornelius. There have been many perks to his new role besides the new title, Assistant to the Manager. He tested the new elevated beds through series of long naps to ensure comfort, and exhaustively experimented with many toys in search of a purrfect few. Wrigley faced the daunting challenge of visiting many groomers to find one that made the experience a whole lot more fun than the dreaded trip to the vet. Wrigley has even taste-tested dozens of treats from all of Charlotte’s leading Pet Bakeries to find the purrfect treats to sell to his friends.
